My Journey
I had been practicing different styles of yoga for around ten years when I stepped into my first Kundalini yoga class. I had finished my teacher training in Hatha and Vinyassa, and I realised I needed more. And I certainly got more….. The mixture of movement, breathwork, and deep meditation led me to a sense that was somewhat euphoric and I knew from then not only did I need to explore the practice more but I wanted to also share it.
I initially trained in Kundalini for pregnancy, The Mother’s Journey, with the wonderful Carolyn Cowan and followed with a level one Kundalini training Path to Source, with the amazing teachers Ashley Jones and Sivaroshan.
Kundalini is a technology, the science of it enables us to awaken our awareness and to take us to our original authentic self. It activates our nervous and glandular systems using mantra (chanting), kriya (movement), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation helping to open up our consciousness.
I believe in connection and community and to be able to combine these to create classes fills me with joy. I love to bring people together to hold space, to share a practice that helps us with modern day stresses and to give us peace in a world where these simple ideas have been lost.
My passion for music comes through in my classes and I love to help, guide, and share the practice to show that there is a way through any obstacle. My teaching style shows kindness, compassion and a lot of fun and I welcome all whether you have never practiced at all or if you have been practicing for years. Kundalini yoga is for everyone.
Come practice.
